We're in Houston!

HEY we're back! And we now live in Houston.... I know, I know, I know- we travel around like gypsies BUT we will be here for a good 8 months at least :) We packed up ALL our stuff (which let's be honest, isn't ALL that much), did the whole U-haul thing again, and drove from little Vicksburg, Mississippi to Houston. Only a seven hour drive- not bad! (Compared to driving 30 hours from Utah to Mississippi!!) AND here's the view as we roll into town...

Our moving in disaster...

But at least the outside view looks nice!

We jumped right into the Texas way of life by attending some good ol' sporting events...
My very first Major League Baseball game with the Astros!

They even had a fireworks show at the end of the game- not bad!

And our very first NFL game with the Houston Texans!

Ah, it's his first day of school! I made him his sack lunch- complete with cheesy love note and all

And life goes on! Our ward here is kind of ridiculous because it's like mini Provo! Half the ward is new, full of young couples and families and they all come from Utah! Pretty crazy... Jon is fitting in well at Rice with his new group of engineer buddies- and I found a job teaching dance at a studio! Life is good... *clap clap clap* deep in the heart of Texas ;)

Summer of 70 movies!

Ok I know, I know... we're somewhat pathetic... a summer of 70 movies? Honestly? WELL in my defense, life is a lot slower out here in Mississippi... a LOT slower! We came from studying for school 24/7 with no free time- to small town life Mississippi where night life is unheard of and people even talk slower! Thus, as anyone should do in this situation, we had to make some note-worthy goals.... such as... let's watch 70 movies this summer!... We are proud to say that this goal was accomplished not too long ago, and we still have 10 days left before Jon starts school. And so the list goes...

This was the beginning of our blockbuster summer. We saw this the day after Jon got home from China- I recommend it!

Hmm.. it's ok...

A Bill Murray classic- he's possibly the funniest man ever

How could you NOT love this movie?

Another one of my ALL-TIME faves

Another Bill Murray... I watched this for the first time on my 16th birthday, and it's still super funny 8 years later!

I kind of wanted a pet mouse after this movie...

Scary! Don't watch if you're traveling abroad anytime soon :)

LOVED it! And I'm not even a trekkie!

They should show this movie in Young Womens! I would have definitely paid attention to that financial lesson if we would have watched this movie ;)

Glad I saw this one in the dollar theater...

Weird!

Classic! Jon's favorite movie

This is the movie that convinced me I wanted to marry curly top.

Hahaha, if you haven't watched this- SHAME on you! It's hilarious!

As well as this one :)

Kind of funny... also kind of dumb...

Hehehe, oh church movies... there's a reason this didn't make it to the big screen

Opah!

Incredible music... *sigh*

LOVED this one too :)

AND we watched a good amount of NCIS episodes...

And an even MORE amount of LOST...

Probably my favoritest movie of all time

This movie was SO creepy- but the ending was SO stupid!

A lil' bit of Jeff Foxworthy...

Funny story- unfortunately- we weren't able to go to this the opening night SO we went the DAY after it opened. We bought tickets early (thinking it'd be sold out) and got to the theater early (thinking it'd be crowded). We walked into the theater about half an hour early... and were 2 of 4 people in the theater! Don't Mississippians like Harry Potter? What's wrong with these people? Don't worry though- there were a grand total of about 14 people in the theater when the movie started.... crazies....

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this... but I watched this.. ok? And I even liked it :)

Really good! (although fairly predictable)

Kick off your Sunday shoes!

Haha, I think I have watched this movie at least 5 times this summer. I think it's the funniest movie ever!

Good chick flick

A classic :)

An even MORE classic!

Bees have rights, too!
Another Adam Sandler movie! This one was super cute- I liked it alot.

This movie is so weird... or maybe it's just Mozart that's weird...

And that about wraps it up! 75 movies and counting... we DO still have 10 days left. Of course we have to give a special THANK YOU to the Vicksburg library... where we rent dozens of movies for free. AND for redbox and all their promo codes that give us free movies! Without them- this wouldn't have been possible ;)
