In March They Crazy!

 We are back!
Man, that week before Spring Break was crazy.
Students were off the wall and I was burnt out with no patience.
But now that things are back in session, students have mellowed out...
at least for now.
Talk to me in May and I'm sure we'll be back at cray cray status.

Enjoy some crazy moments from March!

10.
Going back to how I had no patience that last week before Spring Break...
one of my students asked if she could go to the bathroom.
I told her “no” and to instead get dressed out... and fast because she's late.
She turns back to her friend and as they round the corner to the locker room she tells her friend,
“She's probably on her period.”
Love it.

9.
“Ms. Brame is it cold outside?”
“I don't know- what do you consider cold?”
“Anything below 70.”
“Hahaha then yes- it is cold outside.”
8.
I'm not gonna lie... one day, I had gas.
Most of the students were changing in the locker room and I let a few go as I put stuff away.
Walking back and forth throughout the room, one of the girls standing by the mirror yelled out
“I keep smelling fart!”
And then I totally blamed it on another student.
Bahaha.
7.
As students left my class for Spring Break, I gave them some advice...
“Don't get pregnant. Don't drink. Don't do drugs. And have fun!”
“Wait Miss- does weed count?”
Oh man... I surely hope they were kidding.

6.
All students get free breakfast at my school, and sometimes they bring me their leftovers.
This particular time someone brought me some apple juice.
As I was drinking it, one of my students said...
“Miss- give me that juice. I'm thirsty.”
“Um, excuse me? This is mine.”
“I want it.”
“No.”
“WELL... aren't dance teachers only allowed to eat salad and water anyway?”
5.
I send out reminder texts often through an amazing app (Reminder 101 is the bomb)...
this students claimed she didn't get the text because her power went out.
“You know your cell phone is battery powered, right?”
“It is?.... So if the power goes out... it still works?”

4.
My Dance 2 students are choreographing, and they were supposed to choreograph a dance about a historical event that inspires them.
As I went through their papers I see the topics;
The Civil Rights Movement
Women Suffrage
Hurricane Katrina
September 11th
and
the marriage of Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Why do I even try?
Admittedly- they did have a compelling argument on why it was a historic event.
3.
“Ashley what did you do over the Spring Break?”
“I got my wisdom teeth out... and they didn't give me any anesthesia!”
“WHAT?”
“Yeah, I saw and heard everything going on in my mouth. IT'S THE CLOSEST TO DEATH I'VE EVER BEEN!!!”
Hahaha

2.
I brought cookies one day for students who scored the highest on a test we had.
There were sugar, chocolate chip, chocolate and raisen cookies.
As a student reaches in to grab a cookie she tells me-
“Mrs. Brame- raisens give me trust issues.”
“Hahaha, why?”
“Kuz I think they chocolate chips and then I bite into it and it isn't!”
Amen, girl.
1.
The PE coaches had a sub last week and as I went through their locker room to get my stragglers to class- the sub yells out...
“Coach G's class needs to get in the gym NOW or I'll mark you abstinent!”
For real.
No lie.
Our subs don't know how to speak.

I hold birthdays sacred around here.
They should be important and kind of a big deal.
