90's Kids

Have I mentioned how great summer is?

Especially being here in Mississippi- 

we have no responsibilities once Jon gets home in the evening.

We have no night dance classes, no YM/YW activities, no planning lessons...

it's so worry and care free.

Last night our "90's inner child" emerged and we busted out our roller-blades

 (still sitting in the car trunk from our move)...

 And set out to roller-blade around the neighborhood!

 Jon was always ahead of me...

I swear his wheels go faster!

 Playing catch-up again!

 It was a beautiful and fun evening...

Ok, well let's not be silly.

It's still Mississippi and it's still hot and humid- 

but as long as you prep yourself with 

"I'm going to be sweaty and that's just how it's going to be"... 

I guess it's not so bad.

I'm sure there will be more rollerblading adventures to come...

I Love Summer!!!

This being the first REAL week of summer...

(with no visitors and nothing to do)

I have thoroughly enjoyed my laziness.

I wake up whenever I want.

I exercise whenever I want.

I read my book all I want.

I watch HGTV all I want.

I get to be with this guy all I want...

(Well... when he's not at work. His owie on his forehead is from him running into the swimming pool wall while underwater. Poor guy has a problem with running into things. Remember when he ran into a tree? Well- click here)

I digress.

Life is bliss.

What's even better?

SYTYCD is back and thriving.

Summer is awesome.

Bear Lake Reunion

Hello summer!

Utah is such a nice break from the sticky, humidity of Houston...

we had the best time this weekend as we soaked up the sun on the boat, and basked in the chill of nighttime.

We love and miss the mountains!

Ok so I'm getting ahead of myself...

here we are, leaving Houston in the wee hours of the morning.

 Layover in SLC = Cafe Rio = sheer happiness

 Back to the desert...

 I arrive just in time to celebrate Mom's 35th birthday (yay!)

and then it's up to Provo!

 *sigh*

Miss this place.

 Catching up with old MTC buddies

 And off to pick Jon up at the SLC airport!

we made it to Bear Lake!

 One morning we watched this guy carve a bear out of wood, with a chainsaw.

It was incredible!
