Stone Fat Camp

Our week in St. George was seriously fat camp.
Our whole Utah trip was planned around food...
(oh and dropping off a certain sister at the MTC... a side story, really)
We ate so much.
So let me sum up our trip to Utah in food.

Cold Stone
we don't have many in Houston.
They are in the outskirts so they are hard to get to.
Little missionary sister had a $20 gift card to use before she left
SOOOO
we had to go.
 Cafe Rio
Does it need an explanation?
No.
It doesn't.
I licked the container that held my tomatillo dressing.
Ambrosia.
Food of the Gods.
 Home
Back at home, Stone Fat Camp continued!
We made incredibly delicious cake balls.
Then we went up to Provo and did the eating stop?
Oh heavens no!

Tucanos
We have four March birthdays in our family, so we took our birthday club cards and headed to Tucanos.
We haven't been there in four years, and Jon was a little bit excited.
I wish I had pictures of the next mornings breakfast.
We stayed with a cousin in Draper and she bought the cinnamon roll bread from Kneaders and made us french toast with nutella, whipped cream, strawberries, caramel syrup and more.
Party in our mouths.

But don't worry because two hours later we ate some more.
Oh yes we did!

Pizza Factory
A "day of MTC" tradition and we couldn't pass it up.
Thus, we eat again.
But don't worry, after we dropped off little sister missionary at the MTC
we exercised and went on a hike...
but only after we ate the weeks leftovers on our picnic.
Can it just be noted that I have the coolest 18 year-old sister ever?
You thought Stone Fat Camp was over?
Oh no...
we put back on the 300 calories we just hiked off and went to In-N-Out before catching our flight back home.
And there you have it.
20 lbs heavier.
Yet 20 lbs. happier.
Thank goodness for Spring Break Stone Fat Camp.

Clogging, Missionaries and a Couch in the Middle of a Field...

Spring Break is officially here!
It got off to a rocky start- as Friday we had to drive three hours to Waco, TX to teach at a clogging conference.
We taught three classes and took four classes of clogging.
Seven straight hours of clogging.
AND we were stressed and pooped by the end of the day.
It wasn't the most relaxing start to a Spring Break-
but that is now over and Spring Break is here!
We are in beautiful St. George right now visiting the fam damily.
My little sister is getting ready to leave for her mission on Wednesday.
She is leaving for St. Petersburg, Russia and we are going to miss her so MUCH!
Sunday the family was ALL together (this doesn't happen often!) and we were able to snap some family pics!
Hmm... did everyone miss the memo to pose like a model?
Aren't they great?
We head up to Provo tomorrow to begin the "good-bye" process.
Bittersweet, but so good.
Missionaries are the best.
And so are Spring Breaks.

A Long Weekend in St. Geezy

Back in September I found flights to Las Vegas for $60 ROUND TRIP.
Yep, you heard me right.
$60.
Total.
I jumped on it.
It was on Spirit Airlines... one of the cheaper airlines, like Jet Blue or Allegiant.
Being one of these cheaper airlines- they wanted to charge me for everything.
Like luggage.
Like a carry-on.
One backpack (or something that can fit under the seat) was all you were allowed to bring for free.
So I packed everything I needed for 5 days into a backpack.
Which was a harder task than I thought!

But anyway- that's not the point.
The point is that I had a great weekend home in Utah!
(Jon was gallivanting in Africa so I didn't feel too bad)

Here are some fun moments from the trip...

Hot chocolate at the singing lights house

Getting Jay ready to go on her mission!
Her first trip to the temple...
so lovely.
 (Albeit a little rainy)
An evening out around St. George...
 Bowling!
 Helping Mary :)
at Judd's Store
 Ancestor Square
Dancing!
 Dinner at our favorite!
25 Main
 Free concert at the Tabernacle...
We got there a little late, and had awesome seats.
Good thing we didn't need to see anything.
Just hear.
The music was beautiful.
And some good time relaxin' at home.
 Sleepover!
She got into Utah State!

And playing games...
(Ok I didn't play... just watched)
It was so fun being home!
There's always something new in St. George every time I go back.
We'll be back in March to say good-bye to our little Russian missionary.
Can't wait!
