Aruba, Jamaica, Ooooh I Wanna Take Ya!

Well hey there!

We went to a Beach Boys concert last night...

and it was awesome!!

 We both grew up listening to the Beach Boys...

 And even though they're in their upper 70's,

and some of them can't quite sing like they used to...

they put on a great show!!

We had lawn seats...

and the weather was perfect ALMOST perfect!

 77 degrees... light breeze...

with a little rain here and there.

 There were lots of old men in their Hawaiian shirts...

we should have worn ours!
 

The show came to an end and I started to hyperventilate BECAUSE they hadn't played Kokomo yet! (Pretty much my all-time favorite song...)

 But due to our loud, obnoxious, Texas-sized encore in the pouring rain,

they came back out.

And Kokomo it was!

YAY!

I apologize before hand for our singing in the videos.

Turns out that when you take a video it's easier to pick up the sound inches away from the microphone than several hundred feet away.

Oopsie!

Now if I can just get Michael Jackson to come back to life, and the Beatles to go on tour- my concert going wishes would be complete

Christmas-ing

Christmas-ing is half the fun 

of this season we call "Christmas"...

so here we are, a photo montage

of the famous couple... well... just us.

We start our journey in Houston land,

a city which sparkles bright.

 To see our favorite, the Nutcracker

on that dark and (somewhat) chilly night.

 We move along, yes come along

more pictures, maybe twenty?

To Christmas parties here and there,

yes, Christmas parties plenty.

We take a stop at the Brame house,
where all the laughter's booming,
and crazy gingerbread houses are being made,
the candy they're consuming!

 A tower was made, three stories high,
and leaning off to one side...

And nothing says Christmas more,
than a tacky double wide!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
in good ol' Texasville...
Which is a little different than most of the world,
it looks like we're in Fall... still.

But the Christmas lights are up and out,
it's such a sight to see...

It's CaroLINE, Brian....

We love Brian Regan.

He's a genius.

He's clean.

And he's SO funny.

We bought tickets to see his show in Houston- but ended up selling our tickets because something came up and we couldn't go....

Feeling a little depressed about it,

a month ago I got online to see where his other shows were.

As I scrolled down through his tours, I saw "PEARL, MISSISSIPPI"

WHAT?! Why would we come to Mississippi?

Turns out it was a benefit concert for kids with SMA,

and he did it as a favor for a friend.

Either way- we were glad we got to benefit from that favor!

We had a blast!

 The pic is washed out... can't tell that it's actually him.

But it is.

We honestly laughed for 2 straight hours...

and definitely had stomach aches afterward.
