Visitors!

We've had lots of visitors since Claire was born- which has been lots of fun!
Many people from church came to visit us while we were in the hospital... but I failed to take pictures.
Dang it.
Grandma Stone got here a couple days after our release from the hospital and was TONS of help.
She cleaned, cooked, held baby, changed diapers, cooked some more, babysat and even left us with loads of freezer meals.
She's the bomb.
 Poor baby has acne :(
We were sad to see her go...
That first weekend home, we had Aunt Samantha and Uncle Loren visit!
With also a visit from our favorite Rio bound Sister missionary, Melodie.
And a special visit from the Homecoming Queen :)
Halloween weekend Scott and Crystal came to visit!
(And somehow I failed to get a pic of Crystal too!)
And this past weekend we had some time with Grandma and Grandpa Brame.
Lots of love!
Bring on Thanksgiving for more Aunt and Uncle visits AND to finally meet Grandpa Stone!
Hooray for family and friends.

A Visit From the Roni-Meister

The Roni-Meister.
The youngest of the Stone Clan.
She came to visit us in May!
She had a mission call, set to leave in July- and we knew we wouldn't be able to fly from Mississippi to go see her in July. SO we took advantage of the Houston airport before we left and flew her out to see us!
We love this girl.
We just did this all weekend.
Joke joke.
We gave her the Houston Grand Tour!
We got some serious shaved ice- delish.
We took her shopping.
Where we got her some shoes for her mission.
Went to the Beer Can House...
And took her along to our friends dance recital!
And I think we tuckered Jon out.
The evolution of Jon sleeping while sitting up...
Poor guy.
Went to a community picnic with free goods at the taco trucks.
And almost shared a romantic moment ;)
She was my photo shoot subject at all times.
On Memorial Day we had a fun pool party planned for the seminary kids- and it rained!
All stinkin' day.
Dang Houston.
But we still braved the pool!
And even the tiniest of snails came out to play.
 And became Rachel's best friend.
Her last day with us we wanted to go to the beach.
And what do you know- it was raining ALL morning.
We decided to go to a movie instead... but packed our beach bag JUST IN CASE it cleared up.
Cleared up it did- and we headed to the beach!
But we forgot our sunscreen... oops.
There was a monstrous amount of seaweed on the shore...
But it didn't stop these two from boogie boarding!
 Hooray for sunshine!
We ended her trip with a bubble blowing contest...
AND some delicious ribs.
Now the Roni-Meister is off on her mission to Cleveland, Ohio!
We miss her already!

Graduation Weekend!

May has been crazy!
I can't imagine May with teenage kids- it's got to be ten times more insane with all their end of year school activities.
Regardless, May has FLOWN by for us and graduation for Jon was this past weekend!

My parents flew out Thursday afternoon...
they helped with what they do best.
Dad, sleeping.
 And Mom sewing.
The next day, Friday, was graduation!
We started the day with a little gift from myself and all the parents.
Jon was a little beside himself.
 A grill!
He's wanted one for so long!
We put the grill aside and headed to Torchy's Tacos for lunch.
The best tacos on the planet.
No for real.
 It's our favorite.
Mmmmm....
Then over to Rice for graduation!

Jon, his fellow grad student and advisor.
 Yay!
 And done!
Dr. Brame!
Jon and his PhD Advisor- Pedro Alvarez
 Stone Clan
 Brame Clan
 Sure do love this kid!
Our parents have already seen a lot of Houston...
So after graduation we headed west to New Braunfels and San Antonio for some fun!
River tubing
The Alamo
And the Riverwalk...
Where we ate delicious Mexican food,
And had the best seats in the house for the Armed Forces boat parade!
The Brames left Sunday, and we got in one last thing with the Stones on Monday.
The JP Morgan Chase Tower and Observation Deck.
Killer views!
Now on to more serious things...
like packing and getting ready to move!
Ack!
