Honest Mistake(s)

Upon returning home to Houston, Jon and I realized that we had no shampoo or conditioner.
(We had bummed off our parents supply for two weeks, thanks!)
So we made some trips to Wal-Mart... (4 to be exact.... long story)
and found some.
We grabbed two bottles sitting next together on the shelf (I love it when they do that),
one conditioner and one shampoo.
Wrong.
Look at the bottle. Now back to me. Now back to the bottle. Now back to me.
Do you see that?
BODY WASH
Oh yeah...
We've been using it for days.
No wonder my hair feels like straw.
On the other hand- THESE turned out well this morning!
Although... I did ruin the frosting.
Oh well.
You win some, you lose somemore.

We're back!

Don't worry- I didn't take pictures of the 24 hours drive through wasteland from Utah to Texas.
After you do that drive so many times... it just isn't QUITE as exciting as it once was ;)
We did, however, stop in Tucson and visit these cute kids!
And this video is a shout-out to Jessica and Megan...
Sorry we weren't able to see each other that morning we left!
And waiting for us in Houston were these bad boys!
We are suckers for the new iPhone... what can we say?
Early Christmas presents... right?

A Wonderful, Wet, Watery Week in Washington

Our last week of freedom was spent in Eastern Washington visiting Jon's fam.
We just played... something Jon and I have become VERY good at.
Visited the Columbia River Temple...
Jet skied on the Columbia River...
And they're off!
Then we went camping in the wilderness...
Jordan and Mandee- Jon's brother and sister-in-law
Hello sleepy faces
But this is what we did ALLLLLLL day while we were there!
Hooray for Washington!
Boo for being back to school and work.... :(
But alas, tis' good to be back in Houston.

Time in the STG-dizzle

For those of you who aren't aware... STG stands for St. George.
And sometimes when I'm feeling "gangster"... I add "dizzle" to the end of my sentences.
Our week and a half in my old stomping grounds has been lovely.
Tomorrow we head off to Washington to Jon's family-
but I just wanted to share some of our "dizzle-icious" moments
here in San Jorge :)

In N' Out
Taking Rachel driving with her learner's permit...
Scary!
Family pics
Weekend visit from Samantha...
Concert in the Tabernacle...
Flagging down of the ice cream man to get a summer treat!
Up to Zions National Park
For some adventurous river tubing!
BBQ-in'
Church...
Elder Stone's Homecoming
Time with my hubby
Attempts at "jumping pictures" at the temple :)
Being goofy...
And being porch monkeys during a desert thunderstorm :)
Love the STG.
Bring on the northwest!

Costa Rica- Day 9 and farewell!

Day 9 Tim and Tanaya left us, and we were on our own.
We decided with one day left in Costa Rica, we should do something cool.
So we booked an adventure to go white water rafting!
They picked us up from our hotel at 6:30 in the morning,
we picked up other people and then drove out to the countryside for breakfast.
Gorgeous.
Then of course, to the river!
We rafted down the Pacuare River with two other people who only spoke Spanish.
I got a kick out of our guide would say everything in English, and then in Spanish.
"Forward- Adalante! Stop- Alto!"
He said "Get down" a lot too... but I don't remember the Spanish equivalent
because every time he said that, I was worried about being flung out of the raft and dying!
*no, not dramatic at all*
We hit some pretty good rapids... a lot of class 3's and some class 4's.
The class 4's were ridiculously huge.
I will never go on a class 5 river!
The kayak-ers took some good pics of us on the river...
but they wanted $30 for the cd!
No bueno.
SOO you get our so-so pictures with our underwater camera :)
The scenery was ridiculously beautiful. Cruising through the middle of a rainforest.
Waterfalls everywhere.
The run was 3.5 hours long!
Our bums were SO sore by the end!
It was so fun though... I'm glad we went.
The next morning we flew out of Costa Rica :(
And made it back into the good ol' US of A.
Good times were definitely had all around.
Long live Costa Rica!
