BYU BOWL GAME

It's true. We went. And it was A-MAZ-ING! Albeit was frigidly cold with 50 mph winds wipping us in the face.. it was worth it. Even today with our chapped lips, faces, hands and all- we'd still say it was worth it :)

No football game is a complete without a tailgate party :)
Here is Rachel hogging all the food!

We hid in the car to escape the cold and drew on our faces with blue eyeliner

 Welcome to the main event!

Huge American Flag that threatened to blow away several times!

 It's cold! Brrrrr!

 There they are... our COUGS!

In the end it was a 44-20 win- of which we were very proud.

Christmas Vacation Part 1

Wow- what a week of Christmas vacation it has been! Sleeping in until 10 everyday... having no responsibilities... having a mom to cook for you... why can't Christmas vacation last all year? I'm not opposed to the idea! I'm loving this treatment!

In-N-Out right after arriving at the Las Vegas airport...

My silly husband with barettes in his hair... maybe I should get him a doll for Christmas ;)

Getting my hair done...

Jon helping Roni with homework....

A night at the St. George temple!

Hahaha- palm tree bush with lights on it. It made me smile.

Back to the place where all this madness started a year ago :)

Re-enacting our wedding, wa hoo!

And my crazy little sister convinced Jon and I to run a 5K with her... even though I haven't run in about a month, and it's been FOUR months for Jon!
It was a chilly morning...

And we made it!...barely! :)

Going to church with the fam... my mom bought us all matching red stuff. Ahhh, we're so cute.

And Christmas break lives on! We're having so much fun and it's not even Christmas yet! WA-HOO!

Weekend with Dana

Jon's sister, Dana, came to Dallas for a Mary Kay Convention, and decided to come down to Houston afterwards and visit us! It was a fun weekend with her... even though she was sick :)

We went and saw Disney's "A Christmas Carol"- which was sufficiently scary... I thought it was supposed to be a kids movie?

The main highlight of Saturday was the ward Christmas party... where there was a WHOLE table dedicated to only the best of sweets, cookies, cakes, fudge, pies and more :)

The award winning rendition of the Christmas story....

Thank you for showing me inside your nose, Dana...

SANTA!! SANTA!!! I KNOW HIM!!!

Our sick sister

Relaxing by the tree... I think he was trying to peek at his presents.

ANND, sadly we took her to the airport this morning. Thanks for coming Dana!
I can't wait for Christmas! Only two more days and we'll be on our way to St. George for the holidays-
wa hoo!

Finals and SNOW!

So the other night Jon was studying at home for a final... like any good wife... I decided to help him out and leave him alone...

Psych!

I think he appreciated my help.

Also of note, it snowed yesterday in Houston! Yeah- we thought we'd never have to see snow during our stay here but we were wrong. We carry the curse of Utah snow with us. The first time in recorded history of Houston that it was snowed 2 years in a row. I tell you the Utah snow curse followed us....
The best part about this, was that school and businesses closed early because everyone was COMPLETELY freaked out about snow. It wasn't even that bad of a snowstorm and everyone shut down and hid inside their houses. Hahaha....
You can't see the snow very well in any pics I took... so, as lame as it sounds... I took a video of the snow.
Here it is.

Kids at heart....

Well, what can I say? Some people just have a hard time growing up. For family nights we play Rock Band...

And we eat chocolate cake for breakfast...

One word... trouble.
